Friday there is a rock show at Tantra at 7 p.m. with Dossey, Cormae and local band Dednamez. Go rock out and enjoy a beer or coffee. I have not watched the other bands, but Dednamez are one of my favorite San Marcos bands to go watch. The lead guitarist can really shred.
San Marcos Art Commission will be having an art mixer from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday at Tantra as well. According to the Facebook post, it’s a casual come and go event that they hope will “spark the imagination and strengthen the arts community as a whole.” They said it will be an opportunity to get together and share what your organizations are doing or what other organizations are doing, so you can be a part of it. As a fellow artist/ maker, it can definitely be difficult to figure out your place in the local scene; here’s your chance!
