To the Editor, Thank you for the beautiful tribute honoring Pam Gravis. It captured so much of her spirit, her service, and her unmistakable light.
I had the privilege of working alongside Pam for eight years at the San Marcos Daily Record. Her warmth and brightness were unprecedented. She didn’t just work at the paper: She was part of its heartbeat.
Her laughter carried through the office. Her wit kept us sharp. Her compassion kept us grounded. In an industry that can often feel fast-paced and demanding, Pam brought humanity to the center of it all. She was the human grace note that would often soften the chaos of production.
San Marcos is a much, much better place because of Pam. Plain and simple.
