KEEP SAN MARCOS BEAUTIFUL

The 41st annual Great Texas River Clean Up, hosted by Keep San Marcos Beautiful, occurred Saturday, March 7. Volunteers scoured the river banks and took to the river in canoes and kayaks, all equipped with trash bags, in order to keep the river clean.

According to the Keep San Marcos Beautiful Facebook page, hundreds of volunteers picked up litter at 18 different sites around the area.

“Our creeks, neighborhoods, rivers, roadsides, and the communities downstream are healthier because of you,” the post stated.

The amount of trash and recycling collected will be updated here when available: tinyurl. com/GreatRiver- Cleanup.
