Dealership earns surprise honor from local DAR chapter

Members of the Captain Thomas Moore Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR), presented a patriotic gift basket and a DAR Flag Certificate to the staff of Chuck Nash Chevrolet in recognition of their respectful and consistent display of the American flag.

The DAR Flag Certificate honors individuals, businesses and organizations that demonstrate proper flag etiquette and uphold patriotic values. This long-standing DAR tradition encourages the correct and dignified display of the U.S. flag within local communities.

In that same spirit, the Captain Thomas Moore Chapter continues to promote education, historic preservation, and patriotism through community outreach and recognition programs like the Flag Certificate initiative. This work reflects the broader mission of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is a women’s service organization whose members can trace their lineage to an individual who contributed to securing American independence during the Revolutionary War.

Today’s DAR is dynamic and diverse, with over one million members in 3,500 chapters in the United States and abroad. DAR members annually provide millions of hours of volunteer service to their local communities across the country and the world. DAR chapters participate in projects to promote historic preservation, education and patriotism.
