Tantra will host a Latino music showcase titled “Mango Beat” on March 21 featuring six Texas artists: BuuGee (Austin), B11ce (Brownsville), Dani EL LEON Austin), YoursTruuly (Austin), 40hands (San Antonio) and Little Jack Heart Attack (from San Marcos).
The event will have live original music in a variety of styles, including cumbia, hip hop, electronic, jazz, reggaeton and house.
“We’re treating this as a community building event,” said organizer Little Jack Heart Attack. “This is an event for Latinos to be themselves and express themselves, although anyone that has a love and respect for Latino people, culture and art is welcome to come too. We also hope to inspire more Latinos to perform live at a “Mango Beat” event in the future.”
“Mango Beat” starts at 6:30 on Saturday, March 21 and is open to all ages. Cover charge is $5. Tantra is located at 217 W Hopkins St. in San Marcos.
