Three Houston-area suspects were arrested in connection to a series of cash register thefts ranging from the Kyle area to Houston on Nov. 12, 2025. A multi-agency investigation led to the charges. The suspects were arrested separately in December 2025, January and earlier this month.
The suspects targeted multiple Poco Loco locations, stealing cash as they traveled from Kyle toward Houston. During the investigation, Kyle Police, in conjunction with Hays County Sheriff ’s Office detectives, identified the suspects. Working with regional partner agencies, investigators were able to link them to other burglary investigations.
As a result, the Kyle Police Department and Hays County Sheriff ’s Office charged Cedric Ryan Scales Jr., 19; Isaiah Jacob Jaramillo, 23; and Ca’Den Dejuan Johnson, 21, all of Houston, with burglary of a building and engaging in organized criminal activity.
“These arrests are the result of strong collaboration between our department and partner law enforcement agencies,” Kyle Police Chief Dr. Jeff Barnett said. “By working together, we were able to identify and apprehend these suspects and hold them accountable for crimes committed across the region.”
Hays County Sheriff Anthony Hipolito said he is grateful for the relationship with Chief Barnett and the Kyle Police Department.
“I’m thoroughly impressed with the collaboration and dedication shown by investigators from both agencies,” he said.
Johnson was arrested Dec. 8, 2025, by the Angleton Police Department in connection with a separate robbery. Jaramillo was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force on Jan. 13, 2026, and Scales was arrested March 5, 2026, also by the task force.
All three arrests were connected to a separate stolen firearms investigation in Angleton, Texas.
