LBJ MUSEUM
The LBJ Museum of San Marcos will be hosting the 23th Annual LBJ Museum of San Marcos Ted Breihan Open Golf Tournament on Friday, April 24 at Kissing Tree Golf Club. The format of the tournament is a shotgun start and all proceeds benefit the Museum.
Check-in, breakfast and practice on the driving range is at 7 a.m. with tee times beginning at 8 a.m. The event concludes with lunch and a raffle/silent auction.
This tournament honors Ted Breihan, a community leader, who served on the Museum’s board of directors from 2000 to 2014. A 1953 graduate of Texas State University, he served on the San Marcos City Council from 1974 to 1980 as well as other community organizations such as the Southside Community Center, the Scheib Center and the United Methodist Church.
Breihan passed away on November 17, 2021 at the age of 95.

The LBJ Museum, located on the square in downtown San Marcos, features exhibits and archives on the formative years of President Lyndon B. Johnson at Southwest State Teachers College (now Texas State University), where he was a student from 1927-1930.
