San Marcos fell in a district road game to Schertz Clemens, losing to the Buffaloes 15-0.
The Rattlers fall to 813 overall and 1-4 in district play. Clemens got on the board in the bottom of the first inning, hitting a two-run home run to take the early lead.
The Buffaloes extended their lead with an RBI single before a grand slam pushed the deficit to 7-0.
Clemens pushed its advantage further with a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the third before an RBI single made it a 9-0 game.
Back-to-back errors by San Marcos added two more runs before the Buffaloes tacked on another with an RBI groundout. Clemens later ended the game on a bases-clearing RBI triple, making the final score 15-0.
San Marcos will look to bounce back Friday when the Rattlers host the East Central Hornets. East Central is coming off a 13-11 win over the Cibolo Steele Knights and enters the game with a 21-2 overall record.
First pitch is set for 7 p.m. in San Marcos.
