Bobcats losing skid continues in loss to No. 23 Texas A&M
The Bobcats losing skid reached five games as Texas State fell on the road to No. 23 Texas A&M, 9-6 to the Aggies.
Texas State falls to 12-8 overall while Texas A&M improves to 17-3.
The Bobcats took the early lead in the top of the second with Jaquae Stewart hitting an RBI single. Later in the at bat, Chase Mora hit an RBI single followed by a groundout by Jackson Cotton, which scored a run.
Rashawn Galloway capped off the at bat with an RBI single as the Bobcats took a 4-0 lead.
The Aggies made their comeback attempt in the bottom of the fourth. Following a solo home run, Texas A&M scored on a two-run RBI single to make it a one-run game.
Texas A&M later took the lead on another tworun RBI single as the Bobcats found themselves down 5-4.
The Aggies capped off the at bat with a two-run home run as Texas State was down 7-4.
The Bobcats made a comeback attempt in the top of the fifth inning with a Dawson Park RBI double. Later, Ethan Farris scored Park on an RBI groundout, cutting the Aggie lead down to 7-6.

But Texas A&M put the final touches on the win with a two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh as Texas State fell 9-6.
Texas State returns home looking to snap their losing skid against the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns in a three-game conference series.
The No. 25-ranked Cajuns enter the weekend with a 15-5 overall record, coming off a series win against South Alabama.
First pitch for Game 1 is set for 6 p.m. Friday at Bobcat Ballpark.
