The Rattlers won their third consecutive game, beating the Converse Judson Rockets 10-0 in district play.
San Marcos improve to 13-9-1 for the season and 3-3 in district play.
Jack Vasquez started the scoring fest in the top of the first, hitting an RBI single to put San Marcos up 1-0.
Following Vasquez, Charlie Helgeson hit sacrifice fly to score Elijah Ramirez before an RBI triple by Landon Munoz made it a 3-0 lead.
A Rockets error led to another score for the Rattlers as San Marcos finished their at-bat up 4-0.
The Rattler offense continued to strike against the Rockets in the next inning as Ramirez connected with a two-run RBI triple to extend the lead.
A sac fly by Vasquez brought Ramirez home, putting San Marcos up 7-0 going into the third inning.
San Marcos loaded up the bases in the top of the fourth inning on three consecutive walks by Juan ‘Tres’ Munos, Ramirez and Vasquez.
Helgeson connected with two-run RBI single before Colson Geesee hit an RBI single to extend the lead 10-0.
The Rockets were unable to score any runs in the bottom of the fifth inning as the Rattlers ended the game early, winning 10-0.
Cole Wiatrek earned the win on the mound, throwing four innings and allowing just two hits, no runs while striking out three batters. Caleb Gomez closed out the fifth inning allowing just one hit.
Helgeson led the offense, going 2-2 from the plate with three RBIs followed by Vasquez who went 1-1 from the plate with two RBIs. Ramirez also went 1-1 from the plate with two RBIs.
San Marcos is back home Friday for the conclusion of their twogame series against Judson.
First pitch is set for 7 p.m. Friday in San Marcos.
