The Rattlers fell to Cibolo Steele on the road, losing to the Knights 17-2 through four innings.
San Marcos falls to 9-17 overall and 2-5 in district play.
Cibolo Steele struck in the first inning, scoring on a two-run home then adding another run on an error to lead 3-0.
The Knights followed up in the second inning, adding seven more runs to take a commanding 10-0 lead.
Steele added another four runs before the Rattlers scored on a tworun RBI single by Emery Cisneros as San Marcos trailed 14-2. The Knights scored three more runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to seal the win at 17-2.
The Rattlers will be on the road Monday against Antonian Prep before returning home against New Braunfels Canyon on Thursday.
