Learn how to eat healthy with Lifelong Learning

Are you worried about your cholesterol level but not sure what to do next? Angela Black, host of the “Eat Your Greens with Dr. Black” podcast, will show how small, doable food changes can support healthier cholesterol levels. Through a live demo and sample tastings, you’ll learn a few simple recipes built around fiber- rich, plant-forward ingredients that can help move the needle for heart health.

Lifelong Learning San Marcos is facilitating the course, which will be held Friday, April 17 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. The course is free, but donations are appreciated.

Attendees will leave with practical ideas, recipe links and easy next steps you can use in real life. For example, don’t start by restricting food. Start by adding one fiber- rich food to breakfast. Oats, chia or flax seeds, and berries are simple options that can support healthier cholesterol levels over time.

MD Angela Black is a dual board-certified pediatrician and lifestyle medicine physician with a special interest in nutrition, metabolic health and culinary medicine. During her “Eat Your Greens with Dr. Black” podcast, she shares practical, evidence- based strategies to help people improve their health through food and everyday habits. Her approach centers on making healthy living realistic, approachable and doable.
