$274,000 raised for services, surgery equipment

The CHRISTUS Santa Rosa San Marcos Foundation’s 2026 “Stars of Texas Gala,” presented by H‑E‑B, set a new fundraising record with $274,000 raised in support of CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – San Marcos. The funds will directly benefit both Women’s Services and the purchase of new surgery department equipment.

Held on Friday, April 10 at the Embassy Suites Conference Center, this black-tie event honored firefighters, law enforcement, EMS and 911 personnel, and celebrated their courage, commitment and sacrifice as they protect our community selflessly every day. Entertainment was provided by the Texas Jamm Band, featuring members of George Strait’s Ace in the Hole band.

“We are so grateful for the generosity of our community and its commitment to exceptional health care for all,” said Bob Honeycutt, presi- dent, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – San Marcos. “Our San Marcos CHRISTUS teams serve thousands of patients each year with the goal of delivering compassionate, integrated care while continuously advancing health care excellence. It was also an honor to celebrate the many first responders in San Marcos, Hays County and surrounding communities.”

The foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that cultivates philanthropy and increases awareness and financial support for CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – San Marcos.

Today, the foundation continues to fund innovation, technology, capital facilities and equipment, community health, and wellness programs, while looking for creative and meaningful ways to support advancements in clinical excellence at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – San Marcos.
