HAYS COUNTY FOOD BANK
The Kyle Police Department invites the community to come out Saturday and cheer on their favorite team in a friendly game of flag football as officers from the Kyle Police Department face off against firefighters from the Kyle Professional Firefighters Association.
These two teams of hometown heroes are taking the field for a great cause on Saturday, April 25 at the Hays High School Bob Shelton Sta- dium, 4800 Jack C Hays Trail, Buda. Kickoff is at 7:00 p.m.
Admission to the game is a single non-perishable canned good item, which will be donated directly to the Hays County Food Bank to support neighbors in need throughout our community.
Fans are encouraged to show their team spirit by wearing their team’s colors: blue for the Kyle Police Department and red for the Kyle Professional Firefighter Association Snacks will be available for purchase at the stadium.
Hays County Food Bank provides food at no cost to low-income households and those suffering from a food emergency due to job loss, medical emergencies and disasters, according to their website. “We want all individuals in Hays County to have access to healthy food because good nutrition is essential for good health.”
