San Marcos is back in the playoffs for the fifth consecutive season and will look to capture their first playoff series win since 2024.

The Rattlers enter the playoffs as the No. 2 seed representing District 29, as San Marcos faces off with the Medina Valley Panthers.

The Panthers enter the playoffs with a 19-6 overall record, having tied for first place in District 30 with Eagle Pass.

With Eagle Pass and Medina Valley being the smallest schools in terms of enrollment in District 30, both the Eagles and the Panthers will drop down into the Division II bracket with Medina Valley being the No. 1 seed and Eagle Pass being the No. 2 seed.

San Marcos and Medina Valley had played earlier in the season in February with the Panthers winning 5-2 over the Rattlers.

Game 1 will take place 7 p.m. Thursday night at Medina Valley High School, with Game 2 taking place 7 p.m. Friday in San Marcos. Game 3 if necessary will be played 2 p.m. Saturday at Seguin High School.
