Centro Cultural Hispano celebrates Cinco de Mayo

Cuauhtemoc Hall came alive with Hispanic culture on Friday, May 1 — reflected in the food, the music and the message. Centro Cultural Hispano held its annual Cinco de Mayo luncheon to  raise funds for the nonprofit and celebrate Mexico’s victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. According to the website, Centro Cultural Hispano is “a vibrant center creating a rich environment for diverse arts and educational programming through partnerships which inspire cultural expression, preservation and appreciation.”
