Starting shortstop Dawson Park is no longer with the team.

Park was leading the team in RBIs with 52 and at one point led the team in home runs with 12 with a batting average of .301.

In Texas State’s Sunday game against South Alabama, Park had flown out to right for the final out which completed the Jaguars sweep of the Bobcats.

After the play, Park got into a heated argument with one of his teammates that needed to be separated as the sophomore was sent behind the dugout.

Park was later escorted to the team locker room by assistant coaches at Strahan and didn’t participate in the Kid’s Fun Day activities where players sign autographs for the fans.

The sophomore was taken out of the lineup during the Bobcats home game against Baylor then was no longer listed on the team roster this weekend during Texas State’s conference road series against Arkansas State.
