Texas State University Police recovered abandoned weapons in Sewell Park on Wednesday.
Officers responded to a call about that several weapons were hidden in a bag under a camouflage blanket, UPD said in a statement.
The weapons were determined to have been stolen from Temple, officials said. The person who abandoned the weapons is in custody on unrelated charges.
