Catholic Charities Archdiocese San Antonio visited the Gary Job Corps Center this week. The Catholic Charities representatives toured the center to see about partnering with Gary Job Corps Center and how the center can provide for their community. While touring the center they visited the following classrooms: English Language Learner in academics, Certified Nurses Assistant trade, and the Machinist trade.
In the ELL classroom, one of the Catholic Charities visitors got to speak with GJCC student Jeannette Iriza in her native language of Swahili. Iriza has been in the program since July 2018 learning English and her CNA trade.
