Ex-superintendent of Dallas-area school bus system sentenced

DALLAS (AP) — A former executive of Dallas County's school bus system has become the latest figure to be sentenced as part of a multimillion dollar bribery scandal.

Chief U.S. District Judge Barbara Lynn on Wednesday sentenced former Dallas County Schools Superintendent Rick Sorrells to seven years in prison for accepting millions in bribes.

Sorrells told Lynn that greed caused him to make "horrific decisions that affected an entire community."
