San Marcos Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will be offering the Our Whole Lives Lifespan Sexuality Education Program to the community. We recognize that families and educators face challenges to find sexuality education programs that teach respect, compassion and justice in an inclusive way.
OWL Lifespan Sexuality curriculum was developed by the Unitarian Universalist Association and the United Church of Christ and endorsed by doctors. It includes courses for children in grades K-1, 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12 along with adult courses.
SMUUF will offer courses for children which include parental involvement to meet the needs of our community. Parents/Guardians interested in pursuing a quality sexual education program for their children that is holistic and addresses attitudes, values, and feelings that children encounter are invited to attend an informational meeting at the San Marcos Public Library on Saturday, August 24, from 4:30-5:30 p.m. For more information, contact Jeannie Lewis, SMUUF Social Justice Chair, at [email protected] or at (512) 353-2872.
