The San Marcos Convention and Visitors Bureau has been awarded for its work at advancing and promoting the City of San Marcos as a destination.
During an annual Texas Association of Convention and Visitor Bureaus conference in Denton, the Bureau received four awards.
“The SMCVB won the first place People’s Choice Award and a Judges’ Choice Award for tourism promotion, the first place People’s Choice Award for video, and a second place People’s Choice Award for advertising,” stated a press release.
“I’m very proud of our team and the work they’ve produced this year,” said Rebecca Ybarra-Ramirez, Convention & Visitor Bureau Director in a press release. “We are particularly excited to win two awards for our pet-friendly campaign.”
The Bureau’s pet campaign emphasized the pet-friendly aspects of San Marcos, according to the press release.
The Texas Association of Convention and Visitor Bureaus, which began in 1972, offers training and development for professionals that work at places like the San Marcos Visitor and Convention Bureau.
