JoAnn Childress, née Satterwhite, 86, peacefully passed at Parkview Nursing Home in Lockhart, Texas, on September 4, 2019. She was born at her parents’ house in her Mother and Father’s bedroom, in San Marcos, Texas, on June 11, 1933.
JoAnn is preceded in death by parents, Elmer and Emilie Graef Satterwhite, sister, Gladys Lyon and husband, David Lloyd Childress. Surviving siblings include Shirley Harris and Terry Satterwhite. She is also survived by son, David Jordan Childress and wife, Jea, and daughter, Nancy Pendleton and husband, John. Grandchildren include Joshua and Zane Childress; Dustin and Erik Phillips.
Granddaughters in law are Marissa, Jen, Tamara and Sheyanne. Beautiful great grandchildren are Zackary, Mackenzie, Charlotte, Jonathan, Daimen, Trista, Madison, Elizabeth, Kaylee, Preston, Peyton, Shane, Daniel, and Kaysen.
