Family and friends of Tomas Cuevas Jr. helped dedicate San Marcos High School’s cafeteria in his honor.
Sara Garza Rountree, Cuevas' granddaughter, and Zulema Cuevas pulled down a banner Monday night revealing a steel sign naming the cafeteria the Tomas Cuevas Jr. Dining Hall
“I speak on behalf of my Cuevas family when I say thank you to the members of the school board of San Marcos CISD and to the community within and beyond San Marcos, and to Lupe Costilla and Roland Saucedo for pushing this through to honor my grandpa,” Rountree said during Monday’s dedication ceremony.
