Live Blog: FINAL (Triple Overtime) — Texas State 37, Georgia State 34

Update (10:31 p.m.): Final (3 OT)  Texas State 37, Georgia State 34

Texas State picked up its first win in the Jake Spavital era in 37-34 fashion in triple overtime inside Bobcat Stadium on Saturday. 

Senior kicker Joshua Rowlan kicked a game-winning field goal to hand the Bobcats the victory. 

Update (8:39 p.m.): Georgia State 24, Texas State 20 (8:05 4Q)

Georgia State capped off a 13-play, 56-yard scoring drive with a 7-yard touchdown run by sophomore running back Destin Coates to regain the lead at 24-20. 

Update (8:24 p.m.): End of the 3rd Quarter: Texas State 20: Georgia State 17

Update (8:09 p.m.): Texas State 20, Georgia State 17 (5:11 3Q)

Texas State's Rowland sailed a 34-yard kick through the uprights to hand the Bobcats a 20-17 lead. 

Update (7:32 p.m.): HALFTIME — Texas State 17, Georgia State 17

Georgia State ended the opening half with a 37-yard field goal by redshirt senior kicker Brandon Wright to even the score at 17-17.

Update (7:22 p.m.): Texas State 17, Georgia State 14 (3:43 2Q)

Texas State punched it in from 2 yards out to give the Bobcats a 17-14 advantage. The Bobcats used a 15-play, 75-yard to regain the lead

Update (7:10 p.m.): Georgia State 14, Texas State 10 (9:09 2Q)

Georgia State's Ellington finds redshirt junior Aubrey Payne for a 5-yard touchdown to put the Panthers back on top. 

Update (6:50 p.m.): End of the First Quarter: Texas State 10, Georgia State 7

Texas State regained the lead when Georgia State muffed a punt near the endzone. Sophomore wide receiver Javan Banks snagged the ball in the endzone for the touchdown. 

Update (6:22 p.m.): Georgia State 7, Texas State 3 (8:30 1Q)

After the Bobcats took a quick 3-0 lead, Georgia State answered with a 17-yard touchdown pass from senior quarterback Dan Ellington to sophomore wide receiver Cornelius McCoy to go up 7-3.

Update (6:13 p.m.): Texas State 3, Georgia State 0 (13:14 1Q)

Texas State won the toss and elected to defer to the second half.

Bobcat sophomore cornerback Jarron Morris ended the Panther drive with an interception. Texas State cashed in on the Georgia State mistake with a 45-yard field by senior kicker Joshua Rowland.
