Mermaids take over downtown San Marcos during annual parade

The 4th Annual Mermaid Promenade took place in downtown San Marcos on Saturday morning. After the parade, attendees gathered at San Marcos Plaza Park for the Mermaid Aqua Faire. Above, the Adventure Mermaids returned for this year’s festivities from Plano. Daily Record photos by Toy Mendez

Las Sirenitas float promoted events such as Centro Cultural Hispano de San Marcos' everyday Spanish classes and the Price Center's San Mercado Art Market.
