SMHS Culinary Arts serves Cottage Kitchen Luncheon

The San Marcos High School Culinary Arts will host lunch at the Charles S. Cock House Museum, located at 400 E. Hopkins Street, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4.

The lunch will feature a loaded baked potato topped with your choice of chili, cheese, butter, bacon, sour cream, chives served along side of a house salad.  Dessert will be a dessert trio of bite size servings of key lime pie, brownies, and a sea salt caramel coconut macaroon.  All the food is prepared in class by the students of San Marcos High School and costs $8 (cash and checks accepted only). To go plates are also available for pick up.

All proceeds benefit the Heritage Association of San Marcos, an organization that supports the preservation of historic buildings and celebrates the culture and traditions that beautify and enrich the San Marcos community.

Cottage Kitchen began more than 40 years ago inside the Charles S. Cock home, a historic stone house that is now listed in the National Register. Charles S. Cock was a pioneer and a former mayor of San Marcos.
