Centro’s museum goes augmented reality

Centro’s museum goes augmented reality

On Nov. 2 starting at 3 p.m. Centro Cultural Hispano de San Marcos will open its doors to reintroduce its facility and the Ofelia T. Vasquez Mexican American Cultural Museum in Augmented Reality format.

Using HP’s Reveal Program, visitors will have an opportunity to view, listen and learn about the many items found at Centro.

Texas State University Graduate Student Eric Wilson, Dr. Jennifer Divine, assistant professor in the Department of Geography, and Texas State University have teamed up with Centro staff to create this rich learning experience.

Centro friends and supporters are invited for refreshments and light snacks. Please plan on attending this unique learning experience and see Centro’s rich history come alive.

The mission of Centro Cultural Hispano de San Marcos is to serve as a community beacon for the preservation, development, promotion and celebration of the Hispanic arts, culture, heritage and values. For more information, go to Centro's website.
