William Agnew has been appointed to serve on the Planning and Zoning Commission by the San Marcos City Council.
Agnew was one of four individuals — including Diana Baker, Forest Fulkerson, Diane Phalen and Agnew — initially nominated by councilmembers.
After a runoff vote between Agnew and Falen, council voted 4-3 to appoint Agnew to the commission.
Agnew will fill a vacancy left by Maxfield Baker, who was elected to the San Marcos City Council.
“We will be doing all of our appointments in February, so I would say that those who did not get elected this time, there will be another round in February,” Mayor Jane Hughson said.
