Pedestrian struck, killed on north I-35

The San Marcos Police Department identified pedestrian killed in Monday’s Interstate 35 accident as Bonnie Terraciano.

San Marcos Police Department units responded to an auto/pedestrian collision just north of Aquarena Springs Drive near mile-marker 207 at approximately 6:10 a.m. on Monday. Officials say a preliminary investigation suggests Terraciano, 46, of Austin, was attempting to cross I-35 and was struck by several vehicles. 

No charges are expected to be filed for the drivers involved, police said.

Northbound I-35 was shut down for nearly 4 hours following the incident. This was the 12 traffic fatality in San Marcos during 2019.
