Wimberley 2020 Candidate Forum to introduce primary candidates to community

Wimberley Democrats, Wimberley Indivisible, Hays County Democratic Party and Texas State College Democrats will host the 2020 Candidate Forum from 2 – 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, at the Wimberley Community Center, 14068 Ranch Road 12.

Candidates seeking to represent the Wimberley area for local, state and U.S. House and Senate offices will discuss their priorities for the office they seek, their proposed solutions, and their reasons they believe they are the best candidate for that office. The event is free and the public is encouraged to attend.

“Our form of democratic government is the ultimate expression of community values. In it, the governed elect members of their community to help enact and enforce policies that make that community safer, healthier, more secure and more capable of meeting the future successfully,” said Laura Ewing, president of the Wimberley Democrats. “We’re sponsoring the Wimberley Candidate Forum to provide both Wimberley area residents and candidates an opportunity to align with a value–driven vision for our community.”
