Juan Miguel Arredondo has announced his intention to seek reelection to a third term to the San Marcos Consolidated ISD Board of Trustees.
Arredondo was first elected to the board in May 2015 to fill the remaining 2 years of an unexpired term. He won reelection with 63% of the vote in 2017. His announcement comes on the heels of the SMCISD Board calling for an election to vote three trustees in during their regular January meeting this week.
“Serving my hometown and our school district has been a privilege of a lifetime,” Arredondo said in a statement. “As a fifth generation San Marcos native, proud product of our public schools and Texas State University, I can think of no greater cause than the education of our community’s children to dedicate my time.”
