Guadalupe Vasquez

Guadalupe Vasquez was born in San Marcos, Texas, on December 10, 1946. Lupe was one of the middle of six boys, Jose, Fidel, Augustine, Salvador, and Miguel. His parents were Augustine and Juanita Vasquez.

Lupe was happily married to Ramona Vasquez for 54 years where they built their family together in San Marcos. They welcomed five wonderful children, Lupe, Priscilla, Bobby, Matilda, and Jaime, who blessed them with twenty-three beautiful grandchildren.

Lupe was a hardworking man from the time he was young. He began his career working at a furniture manufacturer called Kerrband and later moved to the Wide-Light company where he eventually retired.

Anyone who knew Lupe knew that family was one of the most important things to him. He made sure to support all of his children from the time they were young, which included coaching them to feel like they won a World Series game and being a father, to the time when they had their own kids. Even then he showed his support to his grandchildren by being there to see them accomplish things like graduations, baseball games, recruitment, concerts, and so much more.
