Bobcats to battle Mavericks at home

Bobcats to battle Mavericks at home

Texas State (12-8, 5-4 Sun Belt) will host UT Arlington (8-12, 4-5) inside Strahan Arena on Saturday at 4 p.m.

The Bobcats are currently in a three-way tie for fourth place in the conference with Arkansas State and South Alabama. The team is also riding a four-game win streak, sweeping a two-game road trip against Louisiana-Monroe and Louisiana.

“We’re in a better place now that we’ve been able to get some home games on our bat. We started off with four on the road which was very tough. And we played some very good schools during those four,” head coach Danny Kaspar said during the Sun Belt Men’s Basketball Midseason Media Teleconference on Tuesday. “UTA, I think, is playing good basketball right now. So, it’s going to be, I think, a very, very intense and good game this coming Saturday for us and a good gauge to see if we’re where we think we are.”
