Geraldine B. Meeks passed away in Kyle, Texas, on January 27, 2020, at the age of 73. She was born to Herman Joe and Lige Glenn Bolton on January 4, 1947, in San Marcos, Texas.
She served many years as a secretary for Live Oak County Sheriff’s Office in George West as well as dispatcher in Carlsbad, New Mexico for Eddy County Sheriff’s Office.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband David Ray Meeks, grandson Avery Lee Dickens, and two sisters, Minnie Lorene Dammann and Alice Marie Goff.
She is survived by her daughter Terri Lynn Poole and husband Anthony, her son David Samuel Meeks and wife Cindy, and her daughter Amanda Dickens and husband Tracey, her four grandchildren, David Austin Meeks, Olivia Rose Meeks, Alyssa Elaine Meeks, and Evan Rhys Poole, and sisters Zula Swan, Anna Emmons, Georgia Katzer and husband Harold, Nancy Scroggins and husband Gerald, and Johnnie Weaver, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held on Friday, February 7, 2020, at 2 p.m. at Memory Lawn Memorial Park in Martindale, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
