SWAT team responds to incident at Kyle Walmart

A person has been arrested after Kyle police and the Hays County SWAT team responded to an incident in the parking lot of a Walmart in Kyle.

Kyle police responded to a domestic disturbance situation at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Saturday near the gas pumps at the Walmart located at 5754 Kyle Parkway, officials said. 

Police say a person barricaded themselves inside a car and refused to get out. The person was armed with multiple weapons, officials said. Police contained the area and the adult was taken into custody and treated for non-life threatening, self-inflicted wounds.
