Our newest offering is Philosophy and Popular Music, hosted by Paul Wilson and broadcast live on KZSM. org Thursdays 3-4 p.m. The Texas State University Department of Philosophy underwrites the show as part of their popular Philosophy Dialogue series.
For his broadcasts, Wilson will meld his two careers: He’s an accomplished musician and a former member of the Association, and also an instructor in the Philosophy Department. His background will inform a show that’s entertaining and informative but also philosophical in approach and structure.
Philosophy and Popular Music will examine a wide range of topics, including history, technology, aesthetics, studio session musicians, touring, and the ever difficult relationship between art and commerce.
