David Pruitt

Born on March 12, 1970 at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin to Loyd, Sr. and Ethel Pruitt; David passed into glory on Monday, February 24, 2020, at age 50. He lived his entire life on the family homestead located on FM 1978, Redwood, Texas.

David graduated from San Marcos High School in 1984; he never married. He made his living by his wits; primarily as a trader and as a licensed small-engine repair mechanic. He loved his tools and his dogs. David could drive anything with wheels and earned a third-degree black belt in Karate, martial arts. A free spirit - independence patterned his life. He was a follower of Jesus.

David is survived by his older brother, Loyd Pruitt, Jr.; close friends include his caregiver, Laura West, Linda McGillin, Angelia Adkins and her son, Jackson, Jocob and Mark Alandz and members of Redwood Baptist Church. Memorial service is planned for Saturday, March 7, 11:00 a.m. at Redwood Baptist Church, followed by a meal.
