The City of San Marcos named a new Director of Neighborhood Enhancement.
The city chose Greg Carr, who has served as the Neighborhood Services Coordinator for the City of Round Rock since 2018. He’ll begin his new job in San Marcos on Monday, March 23.
“Greg will join the city with 30 years of experience in animal services, code enforcement, neighborhood engagement, and law enforcement,” Director of Public Safety Chase Stapp said in a statement. “His extensive true asset to the City and to our history of growing relationships across municipalities and neighborhoods will be a Neighborhood Enhancement team.”
Prior to joining the City of Round Rock, Carr led Neighborhood Services departments in Arvada, Colo. and Chandler Ariz. He also worked as the Code Enforcement and Animal Control Administrator for the City of Frisco.
Carr previously served as president for the American Association of Code Enforcement and was a member and board member of the Colorado Association of Code Enforcement Officials.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master of science degree in criminal justice. He served 4 years of active duty and 6 years of reserve duty as an intelligence analyst in the U.S. Army.
