From the publisher: 'We'll get through this together'

What a difference a week makes.

What a difference a week makes.

It’s safe to say that most of us have never lived through a global pandemic of this nature. However, the San Marcos Daily Record has. At 108-years-old the newspaper has witnessed, and reported on, quite a few things. From flooding and fires, to shootouts… and yes even the Spanish flu pandemic of 1918.

She’s had a few name changes over the years, but what hasn’t changed at the newspaper is our concern and commitment for our most precious asset — you the reader.

The San Marcos Daily Record has a staff of professional journalists working diligently to keep you informed with accurate information during the COVID-19 global crisis. It’s our hope you all remain safe during this challenging time and will continue to turn to the Daily Record for news about your community.

There are several ways to keep informed:

  • You can subscribe to the newspaper and receive it in print, or on our e-edition, or both.
  • Subscribe to our Record Daily Update – for free! All you have to do is give us your email and you will receive a daily news blast with our most important news and information.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at: [email protected]

I also urge you to support all our family and locally owned businesses any way possible during these very difficult times.

We’ll get through this, but only if we all stick together.
