Gregory A. Obenhaus passed away on May 22 in Round Rock, TX, after a brave battle with cancer at the age of 56.

He was born on September 26, 1963 in San Marcos, TX. His love of sports from an early age became a devotion to UT football as an adult.

Greg loved traveling with his wife and children, and loved his job with Orkin Pest Control. He treasured quiet moments sitting on the porch with his wife, watching the weather change when a front came in.

He was an outgoing guy who never met a stranger, was always laughing about something, and could always make others laugh with him. Greg loved his family and his friends almost as much as he loved playing practical jokes on them, but he was also the first one to jump in and help anyone in need. His generosity was just as strong as his sense of humor. Greg was always a joy to be around, and will be missed more than he could have imagined.

Greg is survived by his wife Amy Obenhaus, children Amber and Jacob Obenhaus, sister Jacquelyn Fischer and hus-band Terry, sister Debra Thomas and husband Ted, nieces Wendy Fischer and Jeannette Thomas, nephew Curtis Thomas, great-niece Sophie Whitehead-Thomas, and his three beloved dogs, Addie, Bindi and Marley. He is predeceased by his parents, Jake and Adah May Obenhaus, and his favorite dog, Scout. Greg is peacefully resting in God’s loving presence but will be sorely missed by all who love him here on earth.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
