Hays County Judge Ruben Becerra issued a new executive order, which went into effect Monday.
The judge's fourth order amid the COVID-19 pandemic mandates that county residents wear face masks inside public place where it is difficult to practice 6-feet of distance, which includes grocery stores, pharmacies and workplaces that involve close proximity with other coworkers.
The order also mandates that commercial entities in Hays County that provide goods and services directly to the public must develop and implement a health and safety policy.
