Arthur Darcy Carroll, known to most as A.D., a long-time resident of San Marcos, Texas passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2020 at the age of 83 at home surrounded by his family and his beloved Boxers Sammie and Houston. He was born in Sonora, Texas on June 9, 1937 to William Arthur & Mayme Carroll.
He started out in the volunteer fire service at the age of 21. He loved the fire service and law enforcement and had a long career in many different capacities in both fields over the years. He retired at age of 75.
He married Yvonne Chavers Carroll on July 12, 1957. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Yvonne Carroll, his daughters Julie Carroll of San Marcos, Texas , Darci Carroll Richardson and her husband Thomas Richardson of San Marcos, Texas and his son William Alton Carroll and his wife Janie Carroll of Carthage, Texas and numerous grandchildren and great children all of whom he loved dearly. He also had two beloved Boxers Sammie & Houston who have been by his side for the last 6 years.
