Registration is now open for the third annual Friends of the Library Spelling Bee fundraiser, held on March 13 at 7 p.m. at Aquabrew, 150 S. LBJ Dr.
Teams of three participants aged 18 and up will compete for the title of 2019 Spelling Bee Champion Swarm of San Marcos. Teams will have 30 seconds to spell words on a whiteboard, tournament style, for a fast-paced fun time.
Funds raised from the event will go the friends of the San Marcos Public Library to assist the San Marcos Public Library in continuing to have high-quality book and digital book collections, as well as educational programming for children, teens and adults in the community.
