Raechel Moose has always had a love of stones. Growing up in Franklin, North Carolina, the ‘gem capital of the South,’ the Kyle-based artist and metal worker feels that it’s probably in her blood.
“I have had a love of jewelry for as long as I can remember,” Moose said. “My Nana got me started really young loving jewelry. When I got older, I just knew that's what I had to do someday. And now I'm here.”
Though Moose has been making art her whole life, she officially transitioned into work as a full-time artist in 2017. In addition to the intricate metal-and-gems work of her jewelry, Moose also crochets, makes collages and ceramics as well.
