DEAR ABBY: I am engaged to an amazing guy. We have been together a little more than two years. During our first year, his family was great to me. They acted as if they liked me. However, things have changed. When my fiance and I are around them, they just wave and have little to say to me, if they say anything at all. The Hays County Pet Resource Center Positive Alternatives to Shelter Surrender (P.A.S.S.) program launched in January 2024 to help local families and pets by providing assistance and access to resources, helping keep pets out of the shelter system. Thursday, Feb. 15 was National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day. Campuses across Hays County showed their appreciation to their SRO. The Sheriff's Office thanked the local districts for'going above and beyond' and 'showing some love' for their SROs. 'The SRO’s value their positions within the schools that provide them the opportunity to bond with the kids and faculty, as well as keeping the school safe.'
