Runoff election is set for Dec. 9
Following the election Tuesday, Nov. 7, unofficial results indicate a City Council runoff election will take place for District 4. No candidate received more than 50% of the vote in the District 4 Council Seat race, moving the top two candidates to a Kyle City Council December runoff election.

County, Austin Pets Alive! to host Pet Resource Center meetings
Hays County and Austin Pets Alive! have announced their November community meetings for the public to learn more about the Hays County Pet Resource Center. Community members are invited to attend to hear updates about the project, ask questions, and share their insights regarding the needs of people and pets in Hays County. There are four meetings scheduled throughout November in each precinct.

History is important; it teaches people who they are and where they come from and it gives examples of the impacts of certain behaviors–both positive and negative. A well-documented historical record can also provide people with access to knowledge that would otherwise be forgotten.
