KZSM–Nominate now for First Annual San Marcos Music Awards
Since our beginning, KZSM has nurtured and supported the vibrant San Marcos music scene with our Kissing Alley concert series and especially with our programming. More than ten of the more than twenty music shows on KZSM 104.1 and KZSM.org feature performers from San Marcos and the surrounding area, many of them live in the studio. On “Revolving Door” (Sundays 5-7 p.m.), anyone who wants to play live can arrange for an appearance.

TXST University is sending Strutters to participate in Chicago's Thanksgiving Day Parade celebration
The award-winning and iconic Chicago Thanksgiving Parade returns on Thursday, Nov. 23 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. traveling up Chicago’s legendary State Street from Ida B. Wells Drive to Randolph Street featuring the return of the beloved giant balloons. This free family tradition, now in its 89th year, showcases talent from across the nation. A highlight of the 2023 parade will be a performance by the Texas State University Strutters from San Marcos, according to a press release from parade officials.

There is no right way to do it, and there are endless possibilities. Under the Sculpture Interim Area Head Sarah Hirneisen’s guiding hand, students at Texas State University are learning how to transform the ideas in their minds into three dimensional reality.
