Local residents along with many members of law enforcement from surroundings cities celebrated with the city of Kyle at the ribbon cutting and opening of the new Public Safety Building. The Public Safety Building will house the Kyle Police along with some city offices. Kyle Chief of Police Jeff Barnett thanked the audience for their attendance and offered tours of the complex. Pretrial services director reviews program data
The Hays County Commissioners Court received an update on pretrial services from the Hays County Pretrial Services Director Randy Foken at its regularly scheduled meeting Tuesday. The update came in response to a public comment involving the backlog of cases and pretrial detainees struggling to contact their attorneys in the Hays County Jail.
