Exploring Nature: Travel Tips
Let me offer a bit of advice. Don’t wait too long to make trips to faraway places. True, you have to wait until you can afford the journey, but don’t put off traveling in the belief you can always go at a later date. That later date may never come – people die at all ages and there’s no guarantee you won’t be an early fatality. 11/14/2021 05:00 AM

These new snapdragons aren’t just fantastic, they’re simply “Snaptastic.” Snaptastic is a relatively new series coming from Syngenta and is considered medium in height, reaching 14 to 16 inches. They fill a void that’s been longed for in the market. 11/07/2021 05:00 AM

Belvin Street home built by Habitat for Humanity is November Yard of the Month
Spring Lake Garden Club’s November Yard of the Month features a handsome new home on the west end of Belvin Street, blocks from the more familiar heritage district near downtown. November’s winner — the residence of Casidy and Esther Williams Henk — dates from spring 2012, when the Henks received the keys to a house built by volunteers working weekends with the San Marcos chapter of Habitat for Humanity, including Esther and their two children (then ages 12 and 14). 11/07/2021 05:00 AM

CORRECTION:
In last week's SMTXLife article titled “Lifelong Dedication:Harvey Miller Day of Service set for Nov. 6 with Dunbar Neighborhood cleanup and reception” by Celeste Hollister, the pull-out quote said “we canted” but in fact, should have read, “we wanted” and was attributed to Jonafa Banbury of the Dunbar Heritage Society, but the correct name of the organization is the Dunbar Heritage Association. We sincerely regret the error. 11/07/2021 05:00 AM
